JR's The Gay "Cheers" of Houston.
South Beach Houston
TOP PICK (not
to be confused with Miami Beach) The hotspot of Houston. The drinks
are way expensive but the scenery is nice. 18 and up on Thursday
and Saturday night. Most amazing lighting and sound.

A GLBT owned and operated Night Club voted "Best Club Outside
the Loop, 2002" by the readers of OutSmart Magazine. 18

Rich's (2401 San Jacinto) The old school dance club of Houston. Great
place where you could spend time with your friends in Houston
and party like its the Summer of 1999. Rich's Houston recently
renovated and reopened for the Summer of 2005. Currently scheduled events at Rich's include DJ Irene on 3/30/07. Rich's also has a new afterparty with DJ Mark D's XM Satellite Radio show. I think this club is now more focused on the straight crowd but it tends to still share its bisexual tendencies. This is a very cool club that is huge inside with lots of rooms to enjoy a good time. 18+/21+ drink.

The Rainbow Room. located at 527 Barren
Springs in Houston, Texas 77090. The phone number to the Rainbow
Room is 281-872-0215. The only gay bar on Houstons north side.
Every Tuesday $2.00 well drinks from open to close, Karaoke
every Thursday Night 9:00-1:00, Live Entertainment on Friday
Nights and NO COVER from 9:00-1:00am, and features a DJ on
Saturday Nights 9:30-1:30.
EJ's - they have some hot boys walking around
in speedos and some stong drinks. Located off of Westheimer
near the Buffalo Exchange.
Resurrection (832-816-6315) located at 711
West Gray between Taft & Montrose is the place for afterhours
starting at 1am. If you are in the club or restaurant industry
you never have to pay a cover. Resurrection plays house and
progressive with DJ Trace Van Tronk.
Dallas Gay Clubs
S4 -
TOP PICK formerly
the Village Station now called Station Four. S4 is one of the largest gay clubs in the U.S. with a huge room they call the Rose Room hosting shows by Onyx, Edna Jean Robinson, Whitney Paige, Valerie Lords, Crystal Summers, and more. Sunday Nights are Hip Hop 18+ along with house music 18+ nights of Weds-Thurs. Friday-Sat are 21+ until 2am then they are 18+.
Rush Club - (located at 3903 Lemmon Ave.)The name is called Rush Club but it is actually a bar with no dancefloor unless you make one near the stage. Rush is known for underwear, model shows, and boxer contests and very small glasses but strong drinks. More like you are drinking a shot. Very hot bartenders and shot boys. It is located in a frat house looking building and has busy nights on Weds and during happy hours mostly. They also feature the legendary Whitney Paige to host their contests and perform her own drag shows which are always delightful.
Minc - (near Fairgrounds at 813 Exposition Ave) Minc is one of our favorites in Dallas
because its atmosphere and one of Dallas' best bartenders
Rob mixes your drinks. Music is spun by DJ Red Eye on Saturday
nights. Minc offers a dance floor and is located off of Exposition
next to one of the State Fair entrances. Website can be found at MincLounge.com.
TMC & Village
Station - VILLAGE STATION
will be opening soon but until then you will find TMC
has the 18 and up every Weds (hottie night contest) win $100
on the box, and the Thurs (hip hop) which is also the only
gay 18 to enter club in Dallas. TMC (Throckmorton
Mining Company is located on Throckmorton and Cedar Springs
next door to Panda's and JR's Bar and Grill)
TMC is temporarily closed down while Caven brings OUT the new Sue Ellen's which is supposed to open April 2008.
Oaklawn events include the Gay Pride Parade, Easter in the
Park, Halloween Street party, and the recently cancelled Razzle
Dazzle.
JR's is a great spot to meet new people
and drink beers and hang out. Check out Caven.com for more

Roundup Saloon TOP
PICK - top 40 and C&W gay
dance club with a friendly dj that actually will play a song
you request. Friendly hotties in an unexpected country bar.
Woody's - formerly called Moby Dick's who also formerly owned the Brick bar has now changed to Woody's and they feature Karoake nights mostly. Located on the strip across from Havana.
Havana - formerly Lime bar, very nice long club features a restaurant during the day. Across the street from Zini's Pizza.
Mickey's - Nice Upscale bar on the Strip. You will find Cher in there singing from time to time but it will be the impersonator of course.
Alexander's - Piano bar located closer to Kroger's and a gas station on Cedar Springs Road. A calming place to listen to sit back and enjoy life.
Dallas Eagle - 2215 Inwood Rd. at the intersection of Inwood and Maple. They feature a Bear T-Dance on Sundays at 5pm.
Kaliente - Dallas Best Latino Nightclub just remodeled featuring a Koko Chanel Show on mondays, Gaby's illusions travesty show on Weds, Talent Night Thursdays, and Hot Chica and Chico Contest every other Friday. 4350 Maple Ave / Kaliente.cc
Austin Gay Clubs
Rainbow Cattle Co. (305 W 5th St.) TOP
PICK IN AUSTIN. Meet hot gay cowboys waltzing or doing the Texas Two-Step at the Cattle Co. if you are 21 and up Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturday night. They also cater to the 18+ crowd with house music on Friday's and Wednesday's.
Oil Can Harry's 21 and up small club with
a small dance floor, but a taste of the Austin hotties. UPDATE: 18+ up now on most nights.
Club Rain TOP PICK - Features the best DJ in Austin. The dancefloor is lifted above the ground and lights up. This 21+ club is located next door to the closed down Boyz Cellar remains. Holiday weekends you may wait in line for hours to get in this club.
Charlies of Austin - 512-474-6481 located
at 1301 Lavaca near the Texas state capital. They are one
of the only 18 & Up bars in Austin with college students
from UT, ACC, St. Edwards, and Texas State University. The
bar is 18 and up on Thursdays, Saturday & Sunday.
CLOSED --Fabric - This club is 21+ and is normally open til' 3am. The socialites love this club and it has a small dance floor. Nothing to get too excited about. Fabric is located on 6th street away from the 4th street gay area. (This club is now closed)
CLOSED -- Boyz Cove formerly Boyz Cellar MTV Road
Rules was there. You should be too. 21 to enter and drink.
They have a special night for the lesbians too. Strip Contests
on Mondays, ....almost every night. I think there is too much
stripping going on at that club for a small town (same guys,
big egos?) If your a lesbian then they have Gurlz Cellar nights
on Tuesdays. Great place to find Twinks and yes many of those. (This clut is now closed)
Splash/Brat - (Memorial Day and Labor Day)-
The ULTIMATE Circuit Party of the Universe!! Hotties from
all over come to Lake Travis and party on boats and on the
rocks of Hippie Hollow. Then if that isnt hot enough, the
hottest Dancers perform and bring a great show while shirtless
sweaty hot bodies are dancing below fountains of lasers. Last
year the Gay Pimp performed "Soccer Practice", we
do not have word yet on this years performance. UPDATE: Promoter retired and the circuit party is no longer being held. The tradition of hippy hollow at Lake Travis a.k.a. Splash continues with thousands of boys in boats, tighty whities, nude, and beautiful people.
Update for the article below- Club O is now shut down and a new club is in its place. We do not yet have the details on this club.
Well its time for the club dish.. After Hyperia closed
its doors last fall there has been a hot spot to replace that
and almost any gay bar in Texas... Announcing Club "O".
Do not ask me what that means - but I have heard it is from
the creators of Club Oz in New Orleans. I was there the other
night and they had Thea Austin the Diva of 2003 singing 'You're
the Worst Thing for Me'. "O" yeah I did not mention
that we only payed $5 to get in the club and got to see a
concert. If it would have been Club One, Village Station,
or South Beach it would have been like $15-$45 then a Concert.
Hmmm maybe Texas Gay Bars will finally learn how to operate
from this new club!!!
Closed Dallas Clubs:
Club Blue - Straight/Bi club in Dallas but very nice Miami
South Beach feel. Nothing to miss a hot Saturday night at
S4.
This club is not as gay friendly as we once thought it was
supposed to be prior to opening. Club Blue located in downtown dallas has hosted DJ Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, and more.
Club One (read the history) - NOW CLOSED. What
used to be a Studio 54 club with atmosphere and bi-curious
boys watching drag queens sing one song at 2am. Studio 54
& the Limelight days of Dallas died out and Club One is
not the same energetic club it once was (the abercrombie boys
got scared off). But maybe it will come back in some new form
someday! On specific dates you can catch Kaos sponsored parties
with guest dj's Manny Leeham, Chris Cox, Barry Harris, and
other famous circuit acts spinning. Club One also owns Club
Seven on Sundays but its nothing to get excited about - the
crowd is normally not packed unless its a holiday weekend.
The latest news on Club One in dallas is that is now only
open for K/os Circuit events once a month featuring the White
Party Dallas and more to come. Club One is no longer a nightclub
but a venue for these events.
Club Seven (next door to the Midtown Spa) - now remodeled
is where you can have fun on Sunday nights and party with
the circuit men. This club is more straight on other nights
but offers DJ Red Eye of Minc on Friday nights.
You will also find many of the other deep ellum clubs have been closed down in Dallas.
